Applied Studies and Training Programs
Only a limited number of cards are available for this two-week introduction to our services. Doc LaBranche is semi-retired, and our network is in transition to an online virtual format. He is available via video conferencing for online social gatherings, if you’d like to learn more. These Creative Interest Gatherings are Evening Sessions held on Tuesday and Thursday 6:30 PM Boston time.
We have been administering VSN services, especially our ARMOR Program, since 2012. Our protocol/curriculum may include martial arts (stretching, yoga, meditation, and/or fitness exercises), working with self-help groups, and/or attending a couple tutoring sessions. In 2015, we implemented our first outreach program, mostly for homeless community members struggling with an addiction disorder. Many of these services were rendered free of charge, for obvious reasons, what Doc called making a living amends. You might call it retribution or simply paying it forward. These Cards are transferable too. You’re welcome to remain anonymous as the contributing donor for someone needing an outreach service.
Outreach efforts teach us things that can only be learned through the experiences encountered at the street level. As much as we brought our educational services out to active addictions within our homeless community, it is a small portion of what is needed to find a healthy resolve.
